Trick or Treat!

Halloween should always be on a Saturday. It was PERFECT weather. Our neighborhood was bustling with people and there were firepit bonfires in many driveways. It was a wonderfully fun neighborhood party! Plus- no school the next day! We ran into tons of friends and classmates. Such fun!
My favorite part was Sadie's Halloween giving! She decided to be the tooth fairy and had this little plan all cooked up...at each house she gave a coin. She had a little basket with one compartment of plastic teeth and one compartment of coins. After they gave her the candy, she gave them the coin. Some people got it- others gave it back or looked bewildered. Then she smiled and said, "I'm the tooth fairy!"
Her costume had a toothbrush wand with teeth hanging off, a tooth necklace and teeth bracelets. The wings didn't survive coming home in a backpack, so some people thought she was a bride, but in all it was a very fun costume! Oliver wanted to be a spy (again.) His jacket had all the little gadgets in the pockets, he added the earbud headset, the glasses and the spy briefcase. He had people put his candy in his spy case (and then he handed it off to me with the reserve bag when it overflowed!)

Pumpkin Carvers!

Very proud that they did these themselves. Sadie'spumpkin has ONE tooth that he stole from her- she is so creative. Oliver carved a mad face...

School Halloween Parade

Yes, we still have Halloween at school and a Halloween parade! We may be the last pocket of America that hasn't separated church and state, I mean, Halloween and school... This still boggles my mind, but I guess we are north of the bible belt. And, for the record, it was great fun.

Soccer Girl!

This year she decided to be as super soccer defender. Can't you tell from that stance!?
