Happy 100th Day of School!

Oliver's class celebrated the 100th day of school (technically the 99th thanks to a snow day...) with 100 hats, one hundred pieces of snack, 100 stickers, and books about 100. Too much fun!
(Secretly, mom loves 100 day because it means we are well over halfway- a typical school year is 180 days!!)

Free Tooth Extraction!

If your dentist screws up really badly you can get a FREE tooth extraction! All you have to do to qualify is suffer with tooth pain for 6 weeks, get a filling done without anesthesia (since it is so minor...) and then get accused of bad behavior when you wiggle in the seat during the 20 minute procedure! If you qualify for the bonus torture, you can get a massive abscess! For the grand finale, you can have your very first tooth to come out be forcefully extracted by dental pliers!
(Note the "surface" cavity that our previous dentist said was no big deal...)

As a parent you might have the joy of answering questions like, "Will all my teeth bleed as much as this one when they fall out?"

Wow. This was a parenting experience was a particularly tough one...although, my favorite question was if it was true that the tooth fairy brought double if you got your tooth pulled. Two shiny new dollar coins are waiting under the pillow...

In a strange twist of history repeating itself, I got to take him to the toy store for "anything he wanted" just as my mother did for me when I had my front teeth similarly removed when I was four. I chose the Fisher Price McDonalds (currently $100 on ebay) and he chose the Nerf Dart Shooter (a mere $14.99 today.)

Who knew...

Who knew a rusty old tractor, I mean the world's greatest tractor, could be so much fun!!!

Pancakes anyone?

Who got more pancakes, the bears or the DOGS?

Circle Jerks

Truly trash is treasure. We found this out on our field and brought it back in thetrailer to throw it away, but before it could be reused or disposed of it was DISCOVERED. It became an integral part of the treehouse design before the afternoon was over.

Happy Campers

Situated with all her "kids" on the cot in front of the fire, she snuggled in for her first night at the cabin.

Happy Birthday Girl-

If only I could have a pair of cupcake pants to go with my cupcake headband to go to the next birthday party!

When you go bowling

You get to wear these cool shoes! And hang out with your best friends!

MIZ-ZOU

Oh what fun it is to have an auntie who went to the Cotton Bowl and brought back such a fun toy. Not to mention fun to have a friend to put on shows with! Go MIZZOU!

Tea for Two

A personal phone call from a friend to a tea party just for two! Who could refuse!! Pink mac and cheese, too? Could it get any better???

Meet the cabin humble beginnings...

Many people have heard the cabin story, but these pictures tell the entire story. Click on this link to see the cabin when it first came into the family and then the cabin in its heyday (and you can compare with the cabin now!) Don't say tumbledownshack...

Happy Bonfire, I mean Birthday

Happy 22nd Tony!

The cast is no longer jayhawk red and blue- instead it is TIGER STIPED for the Meadow

Lane Bengals and Mizzou Tigers!

Nephew of the Year

Tony got to be mom and dad on Thursday! Traf was out of town and I had an event at school. After taking the kids to school, picking them up, he did dinner duties, and the bedtime routine! WOW! Thank you SuperTony!

Happy Cabin Kids!

Happy Cabin Dogs!

Crashed out cabin dogs!

Baby, its cold outside!

Never doubt that...

Never doubt that the best present can't come from the dollar store...or...the thrift store... or the basement....
Oliver and Sadie got Lendsey an ensemble of stick on baseball shattered window clings for his car and he got them a glow in the dark tornado night light! Lendsey gave Trafton a CRASH HELMET after the most recent concussion while kite flying experience! (No joke.)

In Laws...

I think even my in-laws (pictured) will agree that this is a pretty hilarious caroling scene. This was a ton of fun, but, truly what did the neighbors think when we rang the doorbell with this "ensemble?"

Jingle bells, light up Rudolph noses, song books and, of course, headlamps for all. (thank heavens for camera duty!)

Getting psyched for the big night with Cousin Will.
